An association formed by a group of men and women interested in the promotion and growth of the beekeeping industry within the Meade County regional area of Kentuckiana.
Honeybees are important to our enjoyment and beekeeping is fun as a family activity. Beekeeping is a rewarding hobby as well as a creative outlet for a profitable business. Beekeeping is also a science an it is important to stay in tune not only with interesting facts and findings related with beekeeping, but also the responsibilities in maintaining a hive safely and properly, taking care to ward off diseases and pests, and educate those who may be impacted by your decision to keep bees.
Our regular monthly meetings now occur on the third Tuesday of each month at the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Office, 1041 Old Ekron Road, Brandenburg, Kentucky. The meetings begin at 7 pm. You do not have to be a member to attend these meetings and guests are certainly welcome. Driving directions can be found here. We could end up changing back to the third Tuesday depending on Extension Office scheduling.
